Soak in Cleaning Solution Prepare Rinse Soak in cleaning solution for 2 minutes. Fill a sink or suitable container with clean, cold water.

Rinse Rinse under running cold water, remove, and dry.

Final ERD Inspect Dry (optional for automated reprocessors with an alcohol flush) Inspect entire device for soil under 2x magnification. Suction and flush 30 mL of alcohol.

Automated HLD/LCS* Load catheter into automated reprocessor. Attach connector set. After cycle, check connections to ensure attached.

Remove Vision Probe Remove the vision probe and vision probe adapter. Ensure reprocessing cover has been installed. Inspect Inspect entire catheter, housing, and shaft for damage.

Prepare Solution Leak Test Prepare cleaning solution (pH 7-11). Follow manufacturer’s concentration and temperature. Prepare, run, confirm, and disconnect leak test.

Submerge Submerge entire catheter in cold water, and wipe exterior.

Rinse
Submerge Check cap, submerge entire catheter in cleaning solution, and wipe exterior. Flush Brush Fill syringe with cleaning solution. Flush tool channel 3x with 30 mL, 90 mL total. Suction 30 ml and then remove syringe. Brush tool channel submerged in cleaning solution. Rinse with running cold water. Flush Fill syringe with cold water. Flush tool channel 3x with 30 mL, 90 mL total. Suction 30 ml and then remove syringe. Soak Soak in clean, cold water for 2 minutes. Continuity Test Prepare, run, confirm, and disconnect continuity test.
Wipe Dry Wipe shaft and then housing with sterile, lint-free cloth. Blow air as needed (optional). Store Store in a clean, dry place according to facility policy.
